General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) Physiotherapy Medical Records

Our physiotherapy practice is governed by an ethic of privacy and confidentiality.

An important part of physiotherapy  care is to collect and record personal health information about you in your personal physiotherapy record.  This information is private and confidential and only used for your healthcare and with your consent.  This has always been the standard of practice in physiotherapy.

In order to provide for your care, we need (and are legally obliged) to keep information about you and your health in your personal physiotherapy record.

Our policies are consistent with international and Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) guidelines and the privacy principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (2018).

All persons in the practice are either bound by a professional confidentiality code or understand and have agreed to the confidentiality required in a physiotherapy practice
