Owen graduated with a First Class Honours MSc degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Limerick. He is a CORU registered Physiotherapist with current membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists. Owen has gained invaluable experience in a variety of other settings such as paediatrics, orthopedics and post-surgical rehabilitation while working in the HSE. He is currently studying a Masters in Sports and Exercise Medicine at University College Cork.
Owen has worked as physiotherapist with Kiladangan senior hurling team since 2017.
Owen’s areas of special interest include; Concussion, Neurology, Sports injuries and Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation.
He has completed a number of courses to further develop professionally, such as dry needling, biomechanics assessment and prescription, and courses on strength and conditioning. Owen has a keen interest in strength and conditioning and believes that exercise prescription is one of our most effective treatments.
