John Casey MISCP MScSportsMed
John is a chartered physiotherapist and is director of Sportsplus Physiotherapy Clinic which was established in Nenagh in 2008. He qualified from The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1997. He worked for two years in the NHS in Scotland before returning to Ireland in 1999 to commence employment in private practice as a self employed chartered physiotherapist.
In 2004 he completed a one year full-time Masters in Sports Medicine through Trinity College, Dublin. In 2005 he attended Curtin University, Perth, Australia and completed a certificate in Manual Therapy. He has since completed many courses and attended many conferences in compliance of his requirement as a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) to keep his continual professional development (CPD) standards up to date.

John is a sports enthusiast and enjoys reading, cycling, running and working out in the gym. He is a proud member of his local GAA club, Kilruane MacDonaghs and enjoys attending games whenever he can.
Eimear qualified from Coventry university in 2008 with a BSc in Physiotherapy. Eimear has worked in private practice since qualifying, joining Sportsplus physiotherapy clinic in 2013.
Eimear has also worked as a Pilates instructor since 2009, when she qualified with the Australian physiotherapy and Pilates Institute. Eimear has taught ante natal, post natal, mum and baby, back pain and cardiolates classes.
One of Eimear’s passions is women’s health physiotherapy. This has become an even greater interest area since the birth of her son in 2009. She has completed numerous courses in this area of physiotherapy, including;
- Management of pelvic dysfunction in pregnancy
- Sacroiliac joint assessment and treatment course
- Urinary Incontinence Assessment and examination
- Advanced manual therapy of the pelvic floor
- Physiotherapy assessment and management of anorectal dysfunction.
- Myofascial Trigger Point Release, Dry Needling therapy
- APPI Pilates Matwork Level 1, 2 and 3, Ante-natal and post-natal Pilates and reformer on the mat courses.
- Manual Concepts Spinal manual therapy certificate.
